Treacle & Rossi's forthcoming spring litter.

In a couple of weeks i intend to mate Treacle (top photo) with Rossi , both dogs are progressing & maturing well ,their offspring are going to be strong muscular style of Labrador ideal for the Wildfowler, Game or  Roughshooter but also have the right temperament to be your pet .More details available once mating has taken place & reservations for pups can be placed with a 25% deposit ,watch this space!

Went To Peniglen Gundogs Training Today

We went upto Peniglen Gundogs today to spend the day training some of our dogs. I set off about 6ish and got on my way up to South Yorkshire. The weather wasn't too good as I set off up the motorway with heavy rain and dull skies.
Arriving at about 10 o-clock, we set straight off out and up on to some private farm land where we firstly exercised the dogs, then got into some serious training. We brushed up on some basic commands such as whistle work and then got out some cold game which I introduced to Treacle and Ozzi for the first time. To my surprise they did exceptionally well and took it all in their stride. They both took it in turn - each running out for the bird eagerly, picked it cleanly, and delivered it cleanly. Brilliant!
The day went without any problems and before we knew it, the light was failing so that put a stop the rest of the day - so we put the dogs back in the car, had another quick cup of tea and before I knew it I was on my way back down home.
