We travelled north to Nottinghamshire a little place called Everton where a friend is part of a syndicate shoot ,he had been given permission to go onto part of the shoot due to the fact their season had finished .
We struck lucky weather wise in what turned out to be a very wet week,it was a glorious sunny day almost spring like apart from the 15mph n.e. wind which was freezing !
We were able to set some great testing retrieves with the varied cover on offer ,bracken woodland & ditches etc .All the dogs worked well & enthusiastically with Rossi making some first class retrieves from water ,Treacle picking long distance Pheasants with speed & style and even nine month old Jake was getting in on the action nicking a bird when we were not looking and he bought right into me when i called him good lad !
